As Music Director, I picked, edited, and entered new songs into the radio station's music system. I successfully learned how to create and edit production pieces to be played between songs, as well as how to edit songs to fit the FCC's standards. I was also in charge of setting up interviews and other various forms of press, like photo passes and festival coverage. As Assistant Music Director, I was doing the same thing but on a smaller scale. As Interim Programming Director, I was in charge of scheduling the on-air programming and talent until a full-term Programming Director was elected. As a DJ and general staff member, I was an on-air presence, answered the phones to take requests, do giveaways, and field general questions and complaints.

I was the host of an online-based radio show, as well as in charge of finding new music for the station to play. As the host of this show, I was responsible for creating my own on-air content outside of the music played, as well as finding the music for the show each week. As the New Music Director, I was in charge of finding and entering new music into our library, and reporting the songs that are currently being played the most to the industry.

I currently help with promotional events on behalf of the radio station, as well as other tasks in the station throughout the week. At promotional events I help set up audio equipment to play the station’s broadcast on-site and interact with people who approach the table and have them sign up for ticket giveaways and spin our prize wheel, and occasionally set up the extra equipment to have the on-site DJ broadcast from the event. While in the office, I contact contest winners to provide more information about prizes as well as collect any missing information, input winner data, create web pages and VPromo contests for various giveaways, prepare, documents for DJ’s to properly conduct the giveaway on-air, and prepare event checklists and pack the vans for off-site events. I also help create content for the website in the form of articles, lists, and photo galleries using my own photos.

I currently attend various concerts to take professional-level pictures of the performers on behalf of various media outlets. In the past, I have taken pictures for WSOU, WDHA, WMGQ, and Overkill Radio, and have photographed bands such as Anthrax, Beartooth, Between the Buried and Me, Iron Maiden, mewithoutYou, Parkway Drive, and PVRIS.

As an intern for New Jersey 101.5 FM, I was tasked with helping with promotional events, the largest I experienced was the Polar Plunge in Seaside Heights. While at promotional events, I helped work at giveaway tables interacting with listeners, as well as helping set up various aspects of our table like a speaker system and Big Joe Henry’s DJ “area”.
